Sleek and sophisticated, Black Watch has the intimate and sophisticated ambience for which all cruise ships were once famous. At just 28,000 tonnes, but with a large number of cabins and suites with balconies, she carries around 804 passengers. Black Watch's public areas underwent refurbishment in late 2009 when a new casual dining area created the Braemar Garden, offering seating for more than 120 guests as well as a stylish bar and a buffet area. Elegant soft furnishings were also updated in the Neptune Lounge, Pipers Bar, Glentanar Restaurant and the Observatory Lounge.

Users can browse the internet freely and e-mail is available via web-based e-mail accounts.

Charges are based on the amount of information you download at any one time so for example a website with a large amount of content such as the BBC or similar will cost more to view than a simple webmail provider. All charges are summarised at the end of each session and posted directly to your on board account.

You can relax and enjoy your holiday, reassured that any ailments you may have can be assessed by our medical staff.

The reception is the heart of Black Watch. Here our dedicated receptionists are on hand to help with any enquiries; whether it's changing currency or helping with your holiday arrangements.

This part of the Bridge gives the Captain and his crew the perfect view as they navigate the Black Watch into her next port of call.

Relax with a good book in our well-stocked library, whose striking decor will make an impression on you. With an array of novels, historical, geographical, autobiographical and many more books, this is a true haven of peace and tranquility.

The large and well equipped fitness centre has everything you could need; from treadmills, rowing machines and weights for those energetic types to a dance studio for dance lessons and aerobics sessions. If you want a bit of pampering then the sauna area should help you to unwind.

This large deck area is the ideal sun trap where you can cool off in the swimming pool or relax in one of the many sun loungers. The Marquee Pool Bar staff are always on hand with a long cool drink!

The Atlantis Spa is open from 8am till 8pm whilst at sea and in port. On occasional evenings the spa will remain open until 10pm.

The Braemar Lounge has a small selection of tables, which are used for dinner service, whilst you are entertained by the pianist. At the other end of the lounge there is an elegant bar and cocktail lounge.

Stand at the bow of the ship, just below the bridge and see the horizon disappear into the sunset, or watch the crew bringing up the anchor when we are leaving port - always a popular view!

Half way around your lap of the ship, take a breather and check out the view - a great place to be as we arrive in port.

The Promenade Deck runs the complete circumference of Black Watch. For the energetic this is the perfect place to have a brisk walk in the morning, but for others itÂ’s ideal for a pleasant stroll as Black Watch steams to her next destination.

Take a stroll around the deck to work up an appetite for breakfast, lunch or dinner; or play deck quoits or shuffleboard.

The stylish Glentanar Restaurant is the main restaurant on Black Watch where your taste buds will be tantalized by the fantastic and huge choice of dishes freshly prepared by our award winning chefs. Whether it's a formal night or one of our special theme nights you will be assured of a great atmosphere as you enjoy your meal.

This is the perfect place to enjoy the sun and more relaxed dining during the day, with delicacies such as fish and chips, burgers or salads.

With a beautiful Oriental theme, the Orchid Room is intimate and cozy - serving the same food as in the main restaurant. This beautifully designed and intimate restaurant provides a fantastic setting to enjoy a gourmet meal freshly prepared by our award winning chefs.

For a lunchtime snack or if you don't feel like dressing for one of our formal nights, the Garden Cafe offers a delicious buffet to tempt you. The Garden Cafe is a light, spacious restaurant which provides the ideal setting to enjoy a meal prepared by our award winning chefs.

The cosy Braemar Lounge retains an atmosphere of refined elegance - ideal for meeting fellow passengers or catching up on that best-seller.

Renovated in late 2009, the Braemar Lounge is an area where you may be able to view what's on the menu for dinner that night, pre-select your wine to complement that menu, or just relax.

Our bar staff in the nautically themed Lido Lounge are always on hand to serve a whole array of exotic cocktails, beers, spirits or something refreshing and non-alcoholic. The perfect reward after a hard day sightseeing or lounging in the sun!

Watch one of our programmed movies in the surroundings of a cinema (The Marina Theatre can also be used for group meetings or get-togethers, if booked with Reception).

Take your seat in the Neptune Lounge as the sun goes down and experience the music, dancing, lights and costumes. Choose to enjoy a cabaret act, stand-up comedian, or dance the night away to the Black Watch Orchestra.

With a name like Black Watch the Piper's Bar is aptly named. With its tasteful Scottish influence this is the ideal place to enjoy a wee dram of whiskey or any number of cocktails or drinks our bar staff will be happy to serve you.

One of the most popular lounges on board Black Watch, the large windows in The Observatory afford fantastic views which are enhanced with plenty of binoculars spaced around the lounge. A grand piano provides the perfect background music as you enjoy a pre-dinner drink or a late nightcap.
