Experience an elegant and captivating atmosphere when you cruise on Braemar. The ship's public rooms rooms feature polished wood, gleaming brass fittings, subtle lighting and attractive fabrics, while the five-deck high atrium gives the vessel a very light and spacious feel. Cascading decks at the stern provide plenty of spaces for sun-bathing, while the vessel also has two open-air swimming pools with a poolside bar and twin jacuzzis. There's a choice of places to eat: informal in Palms Cafe, or formal in the main Thistle Restaurant and the more intimate Grampian Restaurant.

From the Atrium you have access to the Skylark Club, Palms Cafe, Coral Club and Thistle Restaurant, making it the focal point of the ship. It's light and airy feel, and beautifully painted mural gives the Atrium a feeling of being in a country garden. Internet CentreThe Internet has become part of daily life for many and you can stay in touch with friends, keep up with the latest news from home or the sports results in our well-equipped Internet Room. On one of our longer cruises the internet is vital to keep in touch with friends and family, or simply to make everyone back home envious with all your stories from your trip. And throughout the ship you will be able to use your mobile phone too. LaunderetteOne of the treats during your time on board is to leave behind the routine chores. And of course, there is a comprehensive on-board laundry service which your cabin staff will be pleased to arrange for you. However, we do appreciate that occasionally there may be items you wish to deal with yourself, and the self-service launderette is very well equipped with washing machines, tumble dryers and ironing facilities, at a nominal charge. Medical CentreWe hope that you never need to visit the medical centre, but you can relax and enjoy your holiday, reassured that any ailments you may have can be assessed by our medical staff. Our medical centre offers primary care with a doctor and/or nurse on permanent call. Reception24 hours a day, our Reception staff are on hand to advise and answer your queries. The Palms Cafe offers the perfect alternative for those times when you wish for a meal which is a little less formal, or prefer not to stick to the set dinner times. Of course you will still be offered a fine choice of dishes, prepared to the same high standard you expect with Fred. Olsen, in a relaxed buffet style of service. Thistle RestaurantThe voguish Thistle Restaurant seats 380 and is surrounded by ocean views from three sides. Evenings assume an air of dignity, from the lavish affair that is the Gala Dinner to less formal evenings where menus are varied and mouth-watering. As the main restaurant on board Braemar, it is tastefully decorated in a medley of creamy-beige and mochas. Grampian RestaurantOne of the main restaurants on board Braemar, the Grampian Restaurant is located on Marquee Deck. Your taste buds will be tempted by the fantastic dishes on offer in the Grampian Restaurant. This elegant venue exudes a homely feel. The cozy Braemar Room retains an atmosphere of refine elegance - ideal for meeting fellow passengers, catching up on that best-seller or listening to the resident string trio. The Braemar Room is also adjacent to the Library, Card Room, Morning Light Pub and Boutique, so is an integral area of the ship. Coral ClubThis sophisticated lounge, seating 170 guests, is the venue for port lectures, classical music performances and occasional dancing. It offers alternative shows to those in the Neptune Lounge, which are also given in two performances. Afternoon tea is often served in the Coral Club, which is also the location for the ever-popular on-board Bingo. Lido BarEnjoy a relaxing drink or an al fresco meal and soak up the sunshine from this great vantage point on the teak decks of Braemar. This area of the ship is perfect for enjoying breakfast or lunch (weather permitting) and the sailaway parties, or just a quiet drink before or after dinner. Marquee Pool BarEnjoy an ice cold drink up at the Pool bar, before taking a dip in the pool or relaxing in the Jacuzzi. Neptune LoungeTake your seat in the Neptune Lounge as the sun goes down and experience the music, dancing, lights and costumes. Choose to enjoy a cabaret act, stand-up comedian, or dance the night away to a live band. Skylark ClubThis room is dominated by an attractive bar crafted from dark blue stone. Glass doors lead onto a sculptured terrace for dancing under the stars, while optional partitions ensure privacy for small cocktail parties. Morning Light PubLike your own local, this is the ideal place for socializing with friends, old and new. The Morning Light Pub is decorated in a traditional style and depicts the century and a half history of Fred. Olsen. Sample guest beers and real ale, and be entertained by occasional live jazz musicians or stand-up comedians. Observatory LoungeSet at the forward end of the ship, this lounge allows you a panoramic view of your journey. The large windows in the Observatory Lounge afford fantastic views which are enhanced with plenty of binoculars spaced around the lounge. A grand piano provides the perfect background music as you enjoy a pre-dinner drink. |
